EduHacks has hosted one of the largest Hackathons in Vancouver, Canada. SInce 2017, it has attracted global attention from people from all over the world. Nearly a thousand teams and five thousand people participated in the competition. Event partners has included companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, GitHub and many other companies, as well as more than ten world-renowned schools including the University of British Columbia. In addition, support and recognition was received from prominent political figures such as the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister of Education and Governor of Bc.
Requirements
Topic Requirements:
The competition encourages participants to choose topics with a technological core in artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and digital technology. There are five specific themes: artificial intelligence, large language models, industrial metaverse, connected vehicles, and intelligent sensing. Teams are required to select one of these themes and create works that have societal significance and industrial value by combining innovative concepts and cutting-edge technology.
Innovation Requirements:
Teams can continuously improve their works during the competition, and the submitted solutions must be imaginative and innovative. The competition organizing committee will conduct innovation searches on the products and provide the search results to the judging committee as a reference for scoring.
Presentation Requirements:
Work prototypes should be completed based on open-source components or open-source hardware platforms. Teams are expected to work on improving, upgrading, and testing the product prototype. The work prototype should demonstrate certain innovative functionalities, either in hardware or software. Any additional submission requirements should follow the guidelines provided by the competition platform.
Tech stacks:
Participants are free to choose their tech stacks and use relevant tools and equipment.
Intellectual Property Requirements:
Intellectual property rights of the participating works belong to the participants, but consideration should be given to the rights of the competition organizers and host. The organizing and host entities have the right to permanently and freely use the works for demonstration, partial or full publication worldwide (without disclosing technical details). Participants must ensure the originality of their works and not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property or other rights.
